I'm old enough to remember the "disadvantages" of working on 24-Track tape. Although I do miss aspects of 2" magnetic tape (oddly enough, including the smell of Scotch 226), the advantages of digital are undeniable.
A full AVID ProTools HDX AAX system with HD I/Os provide ample tracks for any production, even at sample rates of 192Khz. A large base of virtual instruments are available for any production as well. DTS 5.1 & 7.1 Encoder and Decoder hardware are utilized for surround projects.
Among the suite of software we use for video production is Final Cut Pro 7 & X and Adobe CS 6 Production Premium (which includes Premier and After Effects).
