Control Rooms have changed a great deal in the last 30 years. But the physics of acoustics has NOT! The foundation of any control room has always been the listening position. But modern multi-purpose control rooms most handle everything from noisy computers to large screens for video and scoring.
In order to meet these flexible demands, our goals were:
Build a room large enough to accommodate the people and guests involved in sessions
Because most of the time is spent in the control room, make it comfortable.
Keep external AND internal noise away. Good isolation and a remote machine room.
Accomplish all of these, without compromise to the listening position.
